INSTALLING ELECTRICAL TURBO METER

Electrical Turbo Meter

1. Warning set, most suitable peak hold make set  2. Indicate peak hold in driving  3. Standard running, response smoothly  4. Warning in operation, Boost limit indicate 

 

HOW TO INSTALL ENGINE SIDE
1) If meter hood is necessary, install to meter, before meter install.
2) Install meter panel where don't disturb driving
3) Dig hole or use partition board hole of engine room (about 8mm more(0.3 inch)) 
To protect rubber hose, use busch to hole. 
Meter side connector(small) of wire harness pass through from engine side to driver side.
4) After cut vacuum hose of engine which is possible to take plus and minus, connect attached three dimension joint, generally connect position is between surge tank and fuel pressure regulator. 
Connect sensor at orifice side of three dimension joint, if rubber hose branch is more 4mm, use suitable optional parts p-94(6mm),p-95(8mm) and p-92(10mm).
5) Decide position suitable to fit sensor.
6) Fix sensor board with 2 tapping nuts at the place which fixed.
7) Fix pressure sensor on sensor board with 3 nuts.
8) Connect sensor and 3 dimension joint orifice side with attached rubber hose. 
Pull on Joint firmly to prevent from pull out or not leak air.
9) Fix cords and hose with tie lap etc.

 

HOW TO INSTALL METER SIDE
1) Fix meter firmly, at panel with blacket.
2) Connect connectors after refering drawing of meter, sensor and harness. 
Red code of OA harness to ignition 12V, black cord to earth and white cord to small light circuit with electro tapping etc. 
Any 2 black cords can connect, both cords can connect.
3) Fix cords with tie laps etc.

 

HOW TO READ METER
Meter indicate Turbo boost pressure(kgf/cm2) and minus pressure(cmHg) in Surge Tank(intake manifold).
Boost side Accelerate engine till turbo make effect and indicate setted boost pressure is normal.  
Meter operate only driving, if don't operate boost pressure, check engine and adjust.  
To change boost pressure by using turbo tuning parts etc. make above same method.
Vacuum side At idling, indicating stable 4-60cmHg, engine condition is good.  
Twin cab is lower than this.  
When accelerate rapidly, indicate zero around, and put off accelerate indicate 55cmHg more is normal, engine condition higher is better.  
When idling, if vacuum pressure is too low or indicate unstable, they are caused by ignition, fuel, intake valve and leakage of piston ring etc., check engine. 

 

HOW TO CONNECT TO OUTSIDE LAMP
Connect as per drawing of OA harness connection, if exceed set, both front LED light on.  
Caution: Outside lamp must be 12V/3W below, to protect lamp circuit in meter.  
Brown cord is for out put, wind up with insulation tape when no using.
